Herndon, Va., and San Francisco (Feb. 12, 2009) – A new partnership between DigitalMailer, Inc. and CU Realty Services is helping both credit unions and their members make the most of today's real estate market.
Through various regional networks, CU Realty Services helps credit unions grow their mortgage-lending business. The San Francisco-based CUSO connects participating credit unions with approved real estate agents to create home buying and selling opportunities that benefit credit union members – including earning substantial rebates when selling or buying a home. CU Realty Services currently works with XX credit unions in 19 states.
DigitalMailer, a leading e-marketing firm serving credit unions nationwide, is working with CU Realty to increase awareness of credit unions participating the program.
"Helping credit unions strengthen their brand and grow their business is our primary focus," said Ron Daly, president/CEO of DigitalMailer. "Through this collaboration, we will co-brand member emails to better reflect participation by both their credit unions and CU Realty. Members want to know they are dealing with their credit union, and now there will be no confusion."
According to Tina Powers, CU Realty's chief operating officer, DigitalMailer will manage the look and content of the program's email component, along with tracking information and results.
"A big part of CU Realty's job is to help credit unions educate members about their realty programs – and in today's electronic world, that means communicating effectively through email. We've seen what DigitalMailer has done online with other credit unions, and its impressive," said Powers.
At the heart of the new partnership is DigitalMailer's Automatic Relationship Builder, an email engine that targets members with customized email messages based on their in-market actions, needs or customer profiles. It uses DigitalMailer's certified email delivery system to maximize in-box delivery rates and incorporates drip email schedules that regularly place wanted messages in front of members.
In addition to promoting credit unions' mortgage programs to and strengthening relationships with members, the CU Realty program also builds bonds between credit unions and an exclusive group of realtors. In turn, these realtors work hard to educate members about the credit unions' realty program and to keep mortgages with the credit unions. It's a popular opportunity for real estate professionals, says Powers, who has a waiting list of 120 realtors wanting to be added to the program.
"Our goal is to drive more business back to the credit union, close more credit union loans and increase the awareness of our credit union partners," said Powers.
Daly agrees. "This partnership highlights how CUSOs can pull together to help serve the credit union community. It's a win for everyone involved."
