Herndon, Va. (June 2, 2009) - Credit Union Student Choice, a credit union service organization that provides turn-key private student lending services to more than 70 credit unions across the country, has begun using DigitalMailer, Inc.'s Customer Communication Center (CCC) to securely house online reports and other important documents for their credit union partners.
Using the CCC , Student Choice's client credit unions are notified each day that their loan portfolio status reports are available for pickup. Credit unions then click on a link that takes them to individual password-protected mailboxes on the CCC, where they can view and download the reports.
"DigitalMailer's Customer Communication Center is a wonderful resource that allows us to easily, efficiently and safely deliver key reports to our credit union partners," said Michelle Pezzulli, Vice President of Operations for Student Choice, which is based in Washington, D.C. "With our client list growing quickly, the reporting process was becoming very labor-intensive, and it was apparent we needed a better solution. DigitalMailer's secure communication center has provided that solution, automating the process and saving a lot of time, which translates into significant cost savings that we can pass along to our credit unions."
According to Ron Daly, DigitalMailer's president/chief executive officer, the digital communication and online marketing firm initially built the CCC so credit unions could give their members easy, one-stop access to all of their account statements, daily notices and other information online .
"While the number of credit unions providing the convenience of the CCC to their members has been growing, Student Choice was the first CUSO to use it to make their daily reports available to their clients. Now, we're seeing interest from other CUSOs because it's a secure but simple way for them to get information into the hands of their own clients."
Mike Weber, vice president of marketing for Credit Union Student Choice, says that approximately 70 credit unions now actively use the CUSO's student lending solution, with another 30 projected to be on the program it by year end. "Given the volume we're beginning to see, the CCC is immensely useful to us saving time and money. It would be extremely difficult to provide these reports to our clients without it," Weber said.
